The Grove Care Centre is surrounded
by an acre of beautiful, mature gardens at
the heart of the village of Thurnscoe near
Barnsley. Originally built in 1924, the 26
bedded home has a combination of single rooms
and double rooms all with en-suite facilities.
The Grove has been extensively
upgraded and refurbished to modernise the
facilities and to provide specific specialist
care for residents with dementia. The re-decoration
and new furniture provides cosy and comfortable
surroundings and new, state-of-the-art equipment
assures the health and safety of residents
with limited mobility. Enjoying close relationships
with the local community, our residents enjoy
a range of social activities and we regularly
welcome singers, musicians and other entertainers
to the home. There are also trips to the seaside
and shopping centres including Sheffield’s
Meadowhall. For those who prefer peace and
quiet, and for residents to pursue their own
hobbies, we have dedicated areas for relaxation.
