Set in 11 acres of magnificent
gardens in the Berwickshire countryside, Lennel
House provides nursing and residential care
for older people and adults. Half a mile from
the town of Coldstream in the Scottish Borders,
the home’s picturesque location offers
splendid views over the River Tweed and Cheviot
Hills. The house was originally built around
1820 and its impressive architecture and features
have been retained whilst providing all of
the modern equipment and facilities required
by our residents with limited mobility and
other specialist needs.
The main part of the house
featuring a striking oak staircase and impressive
glass-domed roof, offers nursing care for
18 older people and younger disabled residents.
There is a choice of five lounges including
the Beatrix Potter Lounge named after the
author who holidayed there more than 100 years
ago.
The Griselle Baillie Wing,
established 10 years ago, is based in the
eastern half of the house and is dedicated
to specialist nursing and residential care
for 29 people with dementia and residents
with learning difficulties.
