Close to the former South Yorkshire
mining communities of Bolton upon Dearne and
Goldthorpe, Dearne Valley is a purpose built
care centre for older people. With 20 residential
care beds and 20 dedicated to residents with
dementia, Dearne Valley has recently been
refurbished and re-decorated to create a cosy
and comfortable home. All 33 single rooms
have en-suite bathroom facilities and modern
equipment to ensure the health and safety
of residents with limited mobility.
Our activities co-ordinator
plans a regular programme of games, including
bingo and Scrabble as well as arts and crafts.
The entertainment schedule features a range
of musicians and entertainers and, in the
summer, the trips to the seaside town of Cleethorpes
are particularly popular.
