cathedral Care home
Tucked away behind Lincoln’s
cobbled medieval streets, the Cathedral Nursing
Home benefits from a central location with
the tranquil setting of a leafy backwater.
The former rectory was built
in the mid 19th century at the bequest of
the Church of St Peter’s at Arches for
the Rev TS Nelson. It is a striking building
with unique architecture and many original
features that have made it a local landmark.
Major renovation and rebuilding
and redecoration works has transformed the
home and added an extra 13 purpose-built rooms
now providing a total of 38 single, private
rooms.
As well as extensive redecoration,
an airy and cosy conservatory has been added
and new wood flooring and carpets have been
put down throughout the house providing a
cosy and welcoming interior. The landscaped
gardens are lovingly tended by our residents
to create a homely, relaxing environment which
is enjoyed and cherished throughout the seasons.
